Billydonn

We stayed at the Caravan Inn in Glenwood Springs, CO

Comments. Our first ride. There were some disagreements regarding a "ride" as we were not associated with any other ride. A great variance in expectations, time to start rides, etc. But, overall, a success.

Represented:
LA area, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, Nebraska and Denver

2nd Annual Ride:

Date:
June 13, 2010
Organizer:
tsl
Location
:
Watkins Glen, Finger Lakes, New York
Screen Names:
tsl
Louis
Bev

Dick
seenoweevil
Jim from Boston (get well, Jim!)
Miss Kenton
Miss Kenton's hubby, Tom
Ken Brown
Wayne (Ken Brown's buddy)
and I think, Groth
I apologize if I've left anyone out.

Some of us camped at the home base of the ride.
Some of the less brave/earthy of us stayed in motels.
I believe the rides ranged from 40-80 miles.
The scenery was beautiful and the weather was gorgeous.
We joined a bigger ride; The Southern Tier Bicycle Club's 30th Annual GFLBT.
They had secured the use of a large club house on the campground where we all met up for meals and socializing.
It was very well organized.
I had a fantastic time and would be happy to participate in that ride again.

Denver, thanks for pulling this together. My recollection is as follows, and I think it's complete:

Date: July 9, 2011

Location: Chelsea, MI start/finish point.

A part of the: One Helluva Ride sponsored by the Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society

Organized by: Road Fan

participants:
Road Fan
Irwin7634 (Marc Irwin)
Jim from Boston
rtool
John
Freedomrider
Blazing Pedals
Friend of Blazing Pedals (non-Forum) on a snakey NoCom recumbent - ZOOM!
Old Fat Guy met us for the Friday ride.
Mrs. Road Fan met us for ice cream.

and perhaps 1500 SE Michigan cyclists who are not Forum members.

Irwin, Jim from Boston, Freedomrider, rtool, and John camped in a nearby Michigan campground. OFG, Road Fan, Blazing Pedals and Friend of Blazing Pedals live local to the ride, and drove up DOE. Thursday night I met the out of towners for a burger and beer in Chelsea, Friday morning we met for breakfast at Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor, we went for a ride to Chelsea and back to Ann Arbor (about 42 miles), then met the next morning for the OHR. We did not all begin the ride together, but I saw almost everyone at the end.

Thanks again to all!

Irwin, Freedomrider, Mrs. Freedomrider, Mrs. Road Fan, Road Fan, and Blazing Pedals are planning to get together for this ride again this year, 7/14/2012.
