Never seen it. Is it worth watching?

Was going watch Children of Men tonight (due to the recent dystopian action of the US and UK governments) but maybe I need to check that out.

If you've ever enjoyed any Cohen bros movie (Raising Arizona, Fargo, Barton Fink, No Country for Old Men, O Brother Where Art Thou, etc etc) then yes, it's absolutely worth watching. If you've never seen a Cohen bros movie, Big Lebowski is as good a place to start as any.

I have a friend that used to throw annual Big Lebowski parties, where everybody is supposed to show up in a bathrobe and he would serve White Russians and In-n-Out while we all watched the movie. The movie is based on a real guy, although I think it's a fictional plot to play around with that kooky character.

I've seen Children of Men, and it was pretty good. Not Cohen bros good, but good enough that I remember seeing it (which says a lot actually)

OK, I liked No Country for Old Men. Especially, the scene where the guy buys new boots for the job.

Reminded me of living in Texas.

Children of Men is one of the few film adaptations from a book that I was pleased with.

The Big Lebowski is a must-see movie. Perhaps one must see it every year.

I'd agree with that generally, but acidfast is such an iconoclast, he might be able to decide to hate it

@spencewine, what do you think of that conversion? I considered doing that with mine but didn't end up trying it. I don't have it any more.

@noglider the early returns: I'm diggin' it. It's a nice change of pace from drops and is perfect for my daily commute (and I have 2 other bikes with drops, so I thought why not give it a go). The steering is a bit twitchy, but it sounds as if it is pretty common with this type of conversion and something to get use to. I'm tall and this makes me seeing obstacles a lot easier and hopefully makes me a bit easier to see.

Schwalbe Big Ben 50-622. They are the same tire as the Big Apple but with more tread.
