good wheels for $150 or less?

hi all, can u please recomment wheels to use on on my one speed bike (still building from and oldie)? I am looking to spend at most 150, preferably in the $100's area. i am converting to one speed freewheel.

i am primarily going to be riding in urban areas with not so good roads at times.

thanks in advance.

I'd recommend Mavic CXP22s laced to 32H Formulas. Available on several sites for $139+

this gets my vote too, they're simple, solid, and not bad looking.

I'm ordering Alexrims R450 wheelset, It's right at $150 for the set. Can't vouch for them yet, but they seem good. They're light too.

unless those r450s are laced to some good hubs i'd say you got ripped off, i paid 80 for my set. They are good for the cash though.

here

i guess they have gone up a bit since i got mine, but still under 100

i've been riding an r450 laced to a formula front wheel for about a year, and it's been pretty solid.

comes with tires and tubes as well. Good for a beginner (aka me) I'm liking them so far.

Alexrims R450 looks good. pretty much exactly what i am looking for and the color. however it says the sapcing is 120mm, will it fit my ralegh technium? i think my spacing is 126mm, what would i need to get extra to fit the wheel?

You would just need a 3mm spacer (washer) on each side.

I bought the Alex R-450s laced to Formula hubs, black unmachined rims, black DT spokes, black formula sealed bearing hubs, silver nipples, Formula lockring & 15t cog for $99 from Bens.

They were hand built & solid.
