well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i'm not arguing it's attractiveness, only the requirement of attractiveness being components all from one country (which i know wasn't your comment). if that's the case then about 99.5% of us need to take our australian velocities off our frames, and good luck finding an australian hub to lace them to... etc etc

**** now that i think about it my bike sucks.
aussie frame, italian hubs cranks post saddle stem bars rims straps, japanese pedals headset chain, american grease, german tires maybe glue too, not sure where my bartape is from. wonder where the paint was manufactured. i give up. i quit bikes and bike forums. most of your standards are just too high.

Trek 400 (got the bike for free) with the new wheelset. Now it's 52/16. Need to get new pedals and tires. Looking at some Brooks saddles too to replace this one. Love the bike.

did he complain about the bike not fitting? why and more importantly how are you going to advise someone on the position of their saddle when you have no idea of their measurements? why are you trying to answer a question that was never asked? you just like hearing yourself type?
i'm not mad. I just don't see why you would make an unnecessary comment like that when you've never seen the rider. it's like someone posting a picture of a pair of shoes and you replying with "you should've gotten size 12 instead of 11" without knowing how big the persons feet are.
now you tell me exactly where I gave anyone hell for not speaking nice. the point of my comments were to point out your useless unasked for advice that you offered. good luck learning to "trackstand like a man". ******

my point is you could advise him on his setup if the picture was of him actually riding the bike. without a rider to reference you have no idea where the saddle should be. or the seat post. or the stem. based on the pic of the bike what length of cranks should the rider be using? 165? 170? you can't know the answer to that.

as far as crank length, run whatever is comfortable. the PC has a high BB i guess so he could run a longer crank if he wants and have no worries about pedal strike.
i ride the same length cranks on all my bikes so i can get setback very close to the same.
anyway, there is really no need for you to get all worked up over a comment like "you should try...", i said it because it's very likely that he could have his saddle adjusted better, plus it just looks funny the way it is. whether he chooses to try it or not is his choice, maybe it will help him out a bit...maybe it won't. no big deal.
oh crap!

gamla stan!
stockholm is such a great city. my friend goes to school at konstfack and we visited him last february. his window overlooked stortorget(i think that's what it's called, the square at the top of the hill). really a beautiful place!

Saddle and Seat Post:
Troxel blue vinyl and stock post

k370
Cog/Gearing et cetera:

We're actually a foot apart in height (I'm 6'4" and she's 5'4"... makes things interesting, heh)
