Hi, you're probably right about the spelling; "p" rather than "n". To me I thought the n was just an exagerrated graphic. I don't know what the guy wants but I do hazard a guess local flippers are already licking their chops in the hopes of a dopamine rush on the cheap.

The extra parts look particularly attractive with 'con dente' box and old CCM track ring/cranks arms.

Looks like it's gone now and hopefully to someone who is going to actually ride it (which is what the fellows' son said over the phone). He and I had a good talk about his Dad who used to race the bike locally in the 60's and 70's, and how he has a bunch of memorabilia (photos, articles etc) from then. I may go over and take some pictures for historical posterity.

OK, those boxes of parts were pitched out, along with wheels and other cycle stuff. Gone to the scrapper, or so the fellow I bought the bike from said. To that add that his father had an old track bike. It was given, free of charge, to a kid in the neighborhood. Not sure what kind of bike it was, but my thoughts would be Zeus. Anyway, the Torpado was not listed, at the time.
My first two listings attracted the flipper crowd, who offered me a choice of about a dozen bikes to choose from. Some were really nice, such as the Pinarello Montello, and some of little interest to me. Also, once I did put up a listing like the first two, people who might have completely forgotten that old bike in the shed, are suddenly reminded of its presence. A fellow answered one of the adds with-in an hour or two of posting. He offered me this Peugeot Centennial Edition for a decent price...
I could not react to his offer quickly as I had to wait for someone to drive me to his location. While waiting, he listed the bike on Kijiji himself and for more than he had offered the bike to me for. The bike sold quickly. And, I learned...
When I went for the Torpado, I did not list in Bicycles. I chose a non-related category and, of course, can't remember which one. Additionally, I did not use words like bicycle, or Raleigh, or Colnago or anything else commonly searchable. Nope, the add read something like. Wanted, older Torpado. I had an answer in an hour, and the fellow assured me that he would hold the bike for me. He did. I got a ride and the rest will be shared as the bike comes together. Was hoping to take it for a ride today, but running out of gas. Been working on it since seven am, or so.
