Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am SO envious of the places you people get to ride. I need to start traveling with my bike.

You should have put "not safe for work" in the thread title. These pics are too good.

I love this descent, even though it's almost killed me once or twice.

Eastern Texas near the smallish town of Crockett. My in-laws live there and my wife and I ride around there during the summers.

A couple shots leading us into Meyersdale, PA. The skies were angry, but forgiving as it only rained for about 5 minutes of this ride.

Not quite the lonely road, but it's all I got for now.

I opened up a photobucket account just for this thread. I'm loving these pictures so far, so I thought I would share mine.

This is towards the end of the St. Louis Riverfront trail. I'm guessing that this bridge used to be a RR track, but now its a cycling/foot traffic trail. There are a few touristy educational things along the way, but its pretty sweet to cross the Mississippi on my bike
