Addiction 2021.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I heard my sister’s best friend’s husband just died from COVID19. Sad.

This is why I get so wound up when I see things like my niece on Facebook complaining about only athletes, and not their families, being allowed to attend her son's indoor track meet.

Could be. Could also be inspiration from a public figure.

Wheels were supposed to be delivered today. Wheels were not delivered today.

According to UPS they left California the 8th and have not been scanned since.

At this point in time I am just hoping that a box shows up that appears it can hold wheels. I’ve lost faith in receiving anything else.

Best friend has covid. Positive test came back today. He doesn’t live that close to me so I don’t see him to often. So far he has just been feeling fatigued and aches, I pray it doesn’t get worse.

I think our pubic figure has been a wonderful inspiration for all of us during these trying times.

Yes, but the fact that a lot of people have been sitting at home, online with their groups, instead of mingling with all kinds of people out in the real world has made it worse.

When you only get the information that the algorithms think you want to see, then there is a problem.

Correct. The customization of feeds to show people the "news" they want to see is a big problem.

A couple of good things did happen today. Got to go on a ride with Lily, she got a little more comfortable riding my wheel so we were able to pick up the pace a touch. My silly self didn’t wear enough so I was freezing the whole time.
Trek replaced my booties so I got those today.

And I found my old phone from when I was working in Alaska, and was able to recover a lot of my pictures I thought I had lost.

Don't give up on the wheels, its the post office, they're running slow.

Hope your buddy's ok, chin up.

These were waiting for me today. They are laced, awaiting time on the truing stand. These are 25mm wide. So that means Ill have to open the brakes up to run them. I dont even know where theyre going. The only bikes would be the flat black tarmac. With its manual groupset . Or Contador. I just put a new wheelset on him.
