[OT] Do you use lights for daytime riding ?
Recently I bought half a dozen red tail lights to use on most of my bikes during daytime rides. I always use a headlight and tail light at nighttime, but until recently I have ridden w/o lights during the day. The reason is that I'm coming to the belief that cars often don't see cyclists unless there is a flashing light to catch their optical attention.
So, what is your practice ? No daytime lights, tail light only or headlight and tail light ?

Lights all the time. I have a Niterider Pro 3600 that's on flash during the day and a Planet Bike Superflash (or two) in the rear.

Flashing red Axiom Pulse 60 lumen in the rear during the day. Never go out without it.
Sometimes a flashing white Blackburn 100 lumen in the front during the day. Depends on where I'm riding.
At night I'm lit up like the Las Vegas strip.

Both lights always. I do have to have them easily removable for leaving the bike locked , though. On the road bike, I've taken to putting a tail light on a belt I wear when riding; the front light is mounted to the removable bag with pump, tubes, etc.

Only if it's dark/extremely overcast/raining. But I'm usually not riding then, so pretty much only at night.

All the lights, all the time!
Too many distracted drivers out there. I'd rather they see me and curse/laugh at me for the lights than not see me at all!

Same here. In fact, I often remove or don't install the lights if I will be back home before sunset.

Like the majority. . No, I remove them completely during the day... but if I think there is a chance of riding at night they get tossed in my backpack. Sometimes I'll leave the rear on if I'll be riding on busier streets, I typically stick to backstreets when riding alone though

If I'm out for a long road ride I might keep the tail light on the bike. I can get into some dim places in the canyons.

Bad weather? Yes. On my dynamo bike? Yes. Normally on my non-dynamo bikes. No. Even though I have them equipped all of the time.

It depends on where I'm riding. On busy or high speed roads like my work commute, yes, daytime flashers front and rear. Quiet rides in the neighborhood or to the store, not so much.
But I'm also a hi-vis shirt/jacket/vest geek, which I consider more noticeable than lights in bright sunlight.

Flashing rear light & headlamp at night. If I'm caught in the rain during the day, I'll run the rear flasher and headlamp in strobe for safety.
I am honestly thinking of installing my other headlamp as well. I commute at 4am and one steady burn and one flashing would be an advantage!

I have dynamos on my two main bikes (one geared, the other fixed) I run the lights on all the time just because its "free". But on the rest of my bikes (that require batteries) i will only run them if it is foggy, raining or overcast.
I do however wear a high viz vest with reflective strips most of the time (day and night). I believe that in the daytime, the vest gives me more visibility than the lights.

Have lights on all my bikes, mostly dyno. Most are automatic, including the battery operated ones. SoCal is pretty sunny, but the shade of an underpass will turn them on.
