Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If he didn't have you around he probably would have just popped the other three hubcaps off when he got home

That sounds a little faster than this group over a similar course. Maybe I just like it over sooner.

Too serious? Seriously? 80 mi. is serious at any speed!

I feel like I'm mentally in my early 20s... Until I hang out with people in their early 20s and I realize how dumb they are.

When my son was really young and learning to ride, he had training wheels on his bike. One day we were riding along and the left wheel came off and rolled past him. Everybody but him saw it, and he continued riding along as if nothing happened. Until my wife exclaimed, "Jonathan, your wheel fell off and you're riding without it!" Then he fell over.

Yeah, but not all of them. The three that work for me are smart, curious, funny, and sweet.

(No we can't talk at all)

Apropos yesterday's conversation....

Doing a sporting clay tourney tomorrow, so went to get some shells a few minutes ago. Stuff is really in short supply. Was limited to two boxes of 25, and they only had Monarch brand (dirty stuff - a good analogy is public restroom toilet paper). And, only about 10 boxes on the shelf. Had no idea.

I know, I mostly kid. There are some really great kids out there, the kind that occasionally instill some optimism in me for the future of humankind.

nice!

I was going to sneak out today, started work super early to allow for a long lunch, but decided to bag off work early and finish up some yard work. I’m off tomorrow so I should have time for a decent morning ride

Just did a quick look, don’t see anything hitting the frame. This doesn’t look good. From the previous owner but I don’t know how that could happen.

Dropped a chain some time and tried to just pedal through it, I would assume.
