No but he must have been traveling pretty fast when he lost control. It's near the freeway but still quite a bit of real estate and obstacles to get to the bike path!

Something similar has happened at least twice relatively recently on a rec path along the Schuykill River in Philly. Cars have lost control left the roadway, skidded across the path then the grass and into the drink.
