In Defense of the Delta

I feel lucky to have a nice set of Deltas on a worthy, working bike - given a subject line, "Just Looks Right".
Would I want them on every bike??? No, as there is love for Monoplanars - resident, as well.

And for those disparaging a working set of deltas - i'm not the one giving you the (index) finger, another C&V Dude is!

Clean Drivetrains on a chilly & wet day

Must be a mistake - I do not identify as a 'clean drivetrain guy'. At least, not generally this clean.

Chrome socks.....

....even if 'shorty socks', on a pig with lipstick.

Also at 6'1", here's my tallest standover (27" tires), but with a 56cm top tube. Seattube is approx 62.5cm ctc.

But chrome stays with chevron'd paint are more classy, esp with the fancy chromed brake bridge

If it can't be guaranteed to be all original.....

..... it's nice to make it absolutely period correct, if not NOS.
edit: forgiveness begged = saddle replaced and hoods repopped.
re-edit: 2nd pic updated for rideable saddle and silver (+ longer) stem for different fit.
Now runs tubulars.

I really should stop Browse-ing old pictures

This is their website, but I don't see anything offered currently that is high-flange: Road

You might have to find some other source and wait till it comes available.

They really are great hubs, and although it is next-to-impossible to get the covering back on that goes over the cartridge bearings, a guy at Royce told me if I could ship it to him, he could do it. I'm glad I didn't attempt it.
They are among the first cartridge-bearing hubs (1980's), and although Hillary Stone called them RH30's, someone at Royce called them something else, like A1 or something.
I have one on the back of my Technium, and in five years, it has needed no maintenance.

Worn and frayed, but still trying to show....

......utility with understated elegance.
And almost pulling it off.

Nervar Star crank and Huret drivetrain, unfortunately not all matched.

I consider these rides to have serviced other cyclists well, no reason to change that mission.

I do quite like the road bike as well, but man, the Cinelli Laser (Pista) in its various Evolutions is drool-worthy.

Not to be forgotten though, but I do say that 50 years looks good on a Paramount.

Your favourite old track bike - looks just right especially when it's beneath you doing a few quick laps around the local velodrome.

I'm not normally into track bikes or fades, for that matter, but this one looks fantastic, Gary! That stem, those bars!

Nice to see your Colnago collection once again, too. Beauties all.

I also like the spice farm you've got over there on the right
