Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Great bike, and great to see a picture of T-town. My current ride has seen many laps up there in the 1990's.

I took in the annual Philly Bike Expo (rode my fixed gear of course) and snapped a few pics of the bikes. There were a lot of single speed/fixed bikes. Enjoy.

Hammer Track

Fantastic Single Speed rando bike. The details were immaculate.

The light was a masterpiece.

Why not a Maple fixed gear.

Always nice.

The organizer's bike.

Still fixed...

This sums up the show.

This is not my usual cup-of-tea but for some reason I find it strangely exciting
Yes...riding without tyres will be exciting, to say the least

That fork. Is it because the compromise between steep steering angle vs wheel base?
