My new work schedule is rough. Gotta get dat skrilla doe.
Finalized my Aventon build. Ordered some cockpit goods and cranks. should get here when frame does. I hope I don't have issues with Omniums fitting.

Fantastic ! I felt a great relief when I found out I didn't have prostate cancer.

Just got back from the orthopedic surgeon. It was my second visit.
They say my swelling and soft tissue healing looks good/better than average. I haven't had pain in about 3 days and they said that is a good sign too.
They looked at more exrays and a few cat scans from different angles. Now that they can see it more clearly, they believe that my calcaneus is broken into ELEVEN pieces, not five.
The good news is that the big chunk that meets with the Talus (ankle bone) is not messed up where the two bones come together to form the critical "Subtalar Joint". All the fractures are behind, next to, and in front of that. Plus, all the pieces are kinda where they should be. They are lined up well, even though there are small gaps between them. The biggest gap being about 2 millimeters. The consensus of all the Docs at this place is that surgery would be a lot of risk for really no reward. They say that unless I F-Up and knock stuff out of place, it should heal on it's own and retain a fairly normal shape and position.
I'm pretty stoked. They gave me a snazzy boot and told me to stay OFF of it. ZERO weight, not even on the toes for four more weeks. They'll take more pics then and we'll go from there depending on how well the bones are mending to one another.
Fingers permanently crossed.

Listen to them. Broken feet take a long long time to heal be cause blood circulation generally just sucks down there. Try and elevate it as much as possible.
Broken foot kept me out for a good 3 months a couple years ago.
