FS Campy Ergo 8 spd shifter project with new hoods
These shifters came off a bike I was hoping to get up an running and sell. It had a campy 8 speed cassette on the rear wheel so I assume they are 8 speed ergos. I can find no model name or other markings. The front shifter worked on the double chainring on the bike, the rear shifter would downshift (thumb shifter) fine but would upshift (finger shifter) reluctantly and only go into 5 of the 8 cogs. Not sure if cables or RD could have been a factor I am no campy expert. My LBS said they are rebuildable and they normally charge about $70 for such a job. If you have the knowledge or need parts these could be for you. The hoods are new campy replacements pre 98 Ergo hoods (EC- RE500)
that cost me $30 from the UK - before shipping. Price including shipping in the CONUS $65
