Overextending and Handlebar suggestions.
One of my bikes has me reaching too far forward, and prolonged amounts of riding tends to put a lot of strain on my hands, I did get a shorter stem, but I am also looking for new drop bars. Does anyone here know of any street acceptable pista-esque bars? I am looking for something a little wider on the tops, and not that typical sharp slope, so I can ride on the tops if I want to. or any road bars that are comfy on the tops.

My current favorites are FSA's Omega Compact bars. They have a relatively short reach and drop and are wide enough to easily allow a comfortable position on the tops. However, like many current designs, they have a 31.8 mm bar clamp diameter and may not match your new stem unless it does too.

Often a problem of too much weight on the hands can be because your center isn't placed over the pedals and seat properly. In these cases shortening up the reach will only reduce your ability to breath deeply and reduce your ability to use the gluts. Andy.

good to know, thanks, i'll keep that in mind and make adjustments accordingly. I do know that it is a reach thing as well though, i have really short arms, and the pursuit bars i am using have downward angled tops that make it really hard to ride on, so i am constantly trying to scoot my hands up as they slide down because of that.

How short is shorter ? maybe you should consider a Road Bend rather than a Pista Bend .. instead?
there you have the compact Brifter accommodating short reach design..
You just track Racing? {expect not)

like i said, i don't mind either way. i ride cx with traditional drops, i was just wondering if anyone knew of hybrid pista bars, if not then **** it, no big deal, i'll just get some regular drop bars, and i was just stating, i'd rather have a deeper drop on the bars because i am used to that, rather than a compact and shorter drop.

Cinelli had a round criterium bend in aluminum + the 64, 66 etc some got named for the famous guys that rode them .
The Steel Track bars are curved all the way from the center and Pretty narrow for elbow banging around the track .
and made pretty strong for the powerful riders sprinting the final Lap.
Horses for courses .. Hoy didn't get those Medals in the 10km pursuit events.

There are shims to use narrower center bars in those 1.25" diameter bar clamps . Universal Cycles -- Problem Solvers Bar to Stem Clamp Shims
look down the list.. 26.0mm to 31.8mm
