Is it fine to ride everyday considering the few miles I am riding? I typically take one day off a week from riding.
Congrats on the 25. The answer to your question is not an easy one since it depends on the difficulty of the rides. From what I've been reading and learning on this website is that if you push very hard on one ride, your body needs to rest and rebuild. How long that takes depends on you. I guess it is part of getting to know your own body and how it relates to cycling. I'm also learning very quickly that what you eat the day before and a few hours before a ride has a huge impact as well.
Lots to learn, enjoy the quest.

Congratulations! I just did my first 25 mile ride a couple of weeks ago, and I am amazed at how a 20-25 mile ride now feels very normal to me. I doubt that I'll ever be doing 50 mile rides, but I am very happy that I can do consistent rides in the 25 mile range.

You'll be doing 50 mile rides several times a week then get home and wonder what else you are going to do...

Or as a female related to her riding this past weekend.
You know, there was a time when I thought 10 mph was good and 15 mph was fast. Now 10 mph is 'how do I not fall over without training wheels' and 20 mph is fast.
I told her there will be a day when a 20 mph ride is 'normal'

Keep after it.

I did a 27, July 4; a 23 July 6 and my first 31 (10.5 mph ave.) today. I am 66 and started riding again in May on a Diamondback Al Classic Comfort bike from Dicks. No hills just some high bridges in Florida. Looking at upgrading the Diamondback to one of the following later this year: Trek Shift 2, Giant Sedona DX, Jamis Explorer 2 or Cannondale Adventure 3.
