Bike Florida Day 2 Pics
Day 2 on Bike Florida was a mix of bike trails, urban and rural roads for a 65 mile day. It also included a good number of Florida hills.
The rural road we were on for 13 miles got unusually super busy with traffic. The interstate it crossed came to a stop. Hundreds of cars got off of the interstate onto the road we were on. It’s was difficult to even pass another rider traffic was so heavy.
Great weather for riding!!
Great trail!
I finally found something a lot older than me! Beautiful and large Oak.
The fruit is incredibly fresh. Oranges cantaloupes watermelons grapefruit bananas
Today’s marks for the long route,
The old Brooksville Depot at the Good Neighbor Trailhead
I like bridges
We rode it end to end today

Looks like a nice ride. If I lived someplace that flat I wouldn't even need gears on my bike.

I'm amazed you are back on the bike so soon after a bad fall and surgery. Having lived on Mississippi Gulf Coast for a number of years I became a fan of live oaks. Just a few hundred yards from the Gulf on the grounds of the University of Southern Mississippi lives The Friendship Oak, a vast 500 year old tree. https://www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en...oiowDnoECA4QBg
It has somehow survived 500 years of hurricanes.
