Bike Florida 2019 Done!!

Bike Florida Done!! 45 miles today in cool sunny skies. I rode with Ray from Charlotte which is not too far from I live today. We went to the very end of the Withaloocee Trail today, which we’d ridden other parts of all this week.

Good roads this week, amazing bike trails, nice training, great overall support and lots of fun meeting other cyclists who have similar interests.

The hip hip did really well.

I’ve already driven the 500+ miles and made it back home in NC!

Sweet bike, BTW.

I rode the Withlacoochee Trail just over a week ago (March 23rd) doing the Clean Air Ride. Very nice trail but it's just too straight out and back for me to ride it too often. Glad you enjoyed our Florida weather for the time you were here.

You guys who ride the long tours, or cross country, double centuries, etc are a constant source of inspiration/admiration for me.

Thanks for the daily posts.
Life is good. Keep on smiling. Ride on!

no golf swings that week?

Well, I took my clubs (along with 2 bikes). But I didn’t play. I did visit the World Golf Hall of Fame on the way down. After riding in the mornings, getting showered, lunch etc. it really didn’t leave a lot of time for golf.

But I did play first thing this morning and hit it great!! I think the physical conditioning of the riding the week before really helped. I hit it longer than I’ve hit it in a while.

Well done Joe, glad you are getting back into some riding after your accident.

That WGHoF is fantastic, we went there for a week's vacation shortly after it opened. My son and I played 18 holes on "The Squire", and it was really sweet.
