Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

my most excellent ride!

It really didn't start special just a recovery ride. There is a path here in Tulsa that runs next to the Arkansas river on the west side (which is basically the cyclists side). I set out on my normal 15 mile easy out and back that I ride on days when I feel lazy at about the 7 mile mark I look to my left over the water. I just saw something move out of the corner of my eye and it's a FREAKING bald eagle going my same speed about 5 feet away. I have to speed up to keep pace but he dropped me at about 28mph, I just don't have that kind of flat speed, but I did ride with him for about a mile. It was just too cool not to share.

Man I would gladly ride a huffy for the rest of my life if I could have a picture of me and the eagle.
