Triathletes get pegged by hacked road signs
My road and MUP encounters with cyclists on tri-bikes kinda echo the sentiments expressed on the signs.

I don't know any other group of athletes/fitness participants who get more vitriol from the general public than cyclists. People are pigs.

I for one was proud of my "currently twin" (for a couple of fortnights a year) sister completing an olympic-distance triathalon.

A big Atta Girl for sis.
I've written several times about sociopaths after reading several books about that condition. There are about seven behavioral characteristics of the sociopath. One, likely related to narcissism, is a compulsion to get a rise out people and to be manipulative. This being so, the sociopath probably feels a sense of superiority and accomplishment in hacking those road signs even when the message is stupid and pointless.

That story is actually kind of funny.
Drivers hate cyclists. They also hate the Amish, horse back riders, construction, parked UPS vans, farmer's markets, parades, ambulances, the police and, most especially; other drivers.

Hopefully people are able to survive with a little humor in their lives, even if it is dark humor.
Kudos to all the triathletes and ironmen/ironwomen that can compete in these events. One day a year, ride like a bat out of hell to win... hopefully the rest of the time they can exercise a little road courtesy.
