Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A splash of color on my Allez

Well I rode my bike about 1000 miles bone stock and I was tired of it looking like all the other specialized bike on the road. So, when my original bar tape was looking pretty bad I saw my chance. I added red cinelli cork barwrap, red Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow saddle ( way better that the stock Avatar 130), and red Michelin Pro2 Race tires. I like it.....what do you think?

so from this....

to this.....

I have a similar allez and I really like your color scheme, in fact in a few months I may steal it from you. The white and black is kind of boring.

The official bike of the National Socialist Party!

Just kidding, the colors are hot, ties to certain infamous political parties or not...

I think you took a pretty boring bike and turned it into something great looking. Carson would approve! Faaabulous!

Nice looking bike!
That ride looks tiny though!

On another thought, are you part of the short legs long torso club?

I like it a lot.
I have an allez triple in black and grey. Not the most exciting colours and have been considering doing something similar.

The seat wedge strikes me as very large. But I really like the added color.
