Thoughts ?

Rumours are a move to Quick Step or a new Polish squad - or he stays at Team Sky.

John.

Does G want the most amount of money he can get, or does he want to win?

I'm certain he will do something. Whether it's stay with Sky or go somewhere else, I'm willing to wait till it happens.

It he gets a bigger contract elsewhere, he'd a little foolish not to take it. At his age, this may be the last big contract he'll ever gonna get.

Is there a problem with having two champions on a team?

Team organized for Rider A to come first rather than Rider B.

My guess is we will see him move or a new team will be formed for him.

He should move. I think there is a risk of them attacking each other.

If Geraint Thomas won the TDF, perhaps he isn't the one that should leave SKY.

I think it would be crazy for Sky to bet against Chris Froome. he didn't have it at the TdF this year ... but that's after three Grands Tours wins in a row. And as I recall, not a great early season. He was tired and just not wholly ready,I think.

I have no idea what kind of contract he has at Sky----leaving or being fired might not be a viable option. But if I ran Team Sky, i;'d roll the dice with Froome for one more season at least.

Geraint Thomas is about the same age, and this is the first time he has really come through this strong. He might be about to uncork a whole flood of Grand Tours triumphs----or he might have hit his peak.

Yup. Add to that the fact ....

and yes there is. A team cannot have two leaders. Sky lucked out this year in that it didn't have to commit to one or the other until it was clear which should lead .... but the mess Movistar made of things shows the other extreme. Too many chiefs, no results.

if it had come to it, and Sky had needed to pick one rider to sacrifice himself for the other earlier on ... they'd have picked Froome and lost. Things didn't play out that way this time ... but I wouldn't want to gamble my cycling future on them working out Every time, if I were Geraint Thomas.

It sounds like an inside job... being snatched during cleanup. No cameras?

Somebody thought it was the punch bowl and tossed it in the dishwasher?

They could, of course, call up the French and have a new trophy made. Is there really any difference between the original and a duplicate?
