Okay, this thread is a good read but I've read about half of it and no one has mentioned the Carter Family, with Sarah Carter lead vocal and Maybelle Carter lead guitar? In 1929?

Sorry to admit but I have a very narrow selection of artist on whom I'd bother to see these days. Overload of bubblegum hip-hop country and over artificial studio to live acts is about on par with fake news over AM radio.
Perhaps obscure to many but who rocks the soul of 'classic' is Cathy Richardson. Highly recommend to see her at any venue.

Ahhh. Winamp. Thought it had died and gone away, always loved it, especially the jingle, Winamp, it really whips the llama's ... by DJ Mike Llama.
It had some pretty cool skins.

She also states she is/was a product of 50's and 60's American radio for its eclectic and diverse programming.
She is clearly the real deal, what you see is what you get and with both it is good, plain and simple.

Linda readily acknowledges Billie as a force and influence on her in the beginning.
