Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New to me Bike

Cannondale Slice 5, 2010 model. Bike is in very good condition and got it for a good price I think. Has a few upgrades like saddle and zip base bars and I have a deep set of wheels for it. Have had it on the trainer working on fit but will likely go to my bike fit guy to iron things out. Is it normal to feel more burn in quads on a TT bike than you normally feel? Anyway should be a learning experience and look forward to getting out this summer on it and see if it brings times down. Got it for $1000CAD. Of coarse after I get it a buddy says if I had of known you could have bought my Parlee TT bike for $1400...oh well. $400 more for some gear.

Very cool indeed and congrats! In my incredibly limited experience with TT Bikes it is normal to feel the burn in your quads. Steeper seat tube angle coupled with forward position on the bars almost makes you feel like you’re using your running muscles at times.

ride safe and have fun!

Nice but maybe you should post this in the TT forum and not the Road forum ???
