I was recently reminded of the ancient city of Memphis in lower Egypt. Rocking little city in 3100BC. Great music scene. Good bars, fine recording studios, excellent session musicians. Good access to those pyramids and temples too. Did those Tenneesee settlers name their town after the one in Egypt?

the anti-spam limits on new members on this forum really seem to upset a few people. Somehow the rest of the new user cohort figures out how to post 10 times and moves on. It just doesn't seem that hard to post 10 times in 2 days if you really are interested in bikes. If nothing else, there is the xkcd 386 effect, someone is always wrong on the internet.
The few spammers we still get are a pretty dedicated crew. They post 10 times without complaining.

Many of the most upset newbies didn't join to actually participate in the forum but joined just to get a value for their old bike. Forums aren't really set up for such situations.

OP make sure you don't post in FOO because those posts have no value. Never understood why, as this only serves to frustrate new members looking to finding something to say on the way to gaining the ability to participate with pictures. It's not like Internet Brands is a group of cyclists and have any great allegiance to cycling. They're a forum host company of many different interests and want to grow active memberships. Where does The Lounge rank on overall posts vs the various bike sections ? I think it's 3rd or 4th behind Road, C&V, & General.

I think people with less than 10 posts should just use an ascii art converter and post their pics that way

Oh yeah, in case anybody's checking, I'm just heading out for a 22-miler on my Moto, so this is a cycling-related post.
