The frame, fork, stem, headset, chainring, cranks, tank, stainless steel fenders, chainguard, grips, rear rack and seat post clamp are all original to the bike.
First, it has a Shimano Nexus 7 speed internal gear rear hub with roller brake. It is laced into a Velocity Cliffhanger double walled alloy rim, as is the front, which has a Sturmey Archer drum brake hub. The bars are new Wald handlebars, wider and more comfortable than stock. The shifter is a vintage Shimano button,trigger shifter made of aluminum. Tires are WTB Thick Slicks with puncture protection. That's an interesting shifting setup though. Looks like it would be great for those really hilly rides where your hands are mainly on the tops of the bars and you're shifting a lot. I'd like to try that out on one of my road bikes, if i can find a set of those shifters. I had tried finding grip shifters that would fit standard vintage road bike bars, but all I could find were the ones that fit 22 mm ATB and hybrid flat bars.
