Bump!

Here's my Gugie-fied '74 Super Tourer in our bike lockup in the basement of my building in Chicago's Loop.
I somehow managed to fit my work laptop in the Zimbale saddlebag.

Using a loose definition of "parked"...this is at work but not yet locked up.

Continuing on to use a loose definition of "C&V" with the loose definition of "parked"...

I'll take a proper "parked" picture of the bike I rode in today before I leave.

Those bike lockers seem spacious! The ones at the university I work at are very short and narrow.

What appears to be one bay is actually two -- there is a diagonal separator inside, narrowing as you go in. There is another entryway from the other side. Not to spacious but usually enough...except for that time I road my mtb with 780mm bars....

Thanks -- I dig yours too! I see that it is a 25.5" like mine... is it also an '83 600 like mine? And if so, let me know if you ever want to part with that frameset, because mine had a sad encounter with a curb only a few days after the photo above was taken... and I would love to find another.

Based on the 50 pound rule, I would assume so.

It's a 620 but I think that is the same frame as the 600 with slightly different components.

I'll never be parting with it -- actively searching for a backup because of how much I like it. You can understand why.

I am retired but do odd jobs for beer/ bike money. I occasionally do my accounting at the local pub. Here's my 73 World Voyageur leaned up inside while I enjoy a pint. That counts, right?

Dang, competition. There's

on ebay... it appears this model shared the same geometry. Looks pretty nice but it's a bit too rich for my blood.

The bike was built in the year 2000, but is a classic design. The parts, OTOH, are all pretty darned old!

I'm definitely jealous of everyone with indoor parking facilities! Bike commuting is a relatively unusual thing in this area, so getting anything beyond a bike rack is unheard of. To indicate how much of an afterthought bike commuting is, note that the rack was mounted on the edge of a sidewalk and adjacent to a handicapped parking space.

Since today ended up being sunny and dry she stayed outside for a bit to dry off some residual moisture from this morning's commute.

Here's one pre-retirement, when I used to collect $$ from people who didn't want to pay. We bike commuters got permission to park just inside the building, by the stock room and vending machines, then gradually moved into the building until we were parking next to our cubicles. Don
