Pan Am Championships and games

Is USAC sending a track team to the championships in May and the games in July?

Does USAC list a long track team and short team for both these events?

It seems to me potential riders would want to be planning their season several months ahead of these events.

USAC is holding a training camp right now (at least for track sprinters), so selection may be soon? I'm sure others have some more info than me.

from working with the national team here, they literally pick the teams a week or two before major events like this. Assuming there is of course multiple people to choose from that are pretty close, you go with who is in the best form.

So while guys train their whole lives for something, it often don't know who is racing until a few days before!

Assuming its not geo-locked, search for 'CBC sports' app on android/iphone. They usually have 2 or 3 streams going at a time, Im sure velodrome will be covered.

I've been watching ESPN's pathetic coverage of non-cycling events. So far no mention of cycling even though the USA has won 1 gold and3bronzes in BMX and Mtn Bikng.

There is some video footage on YouTube. Starting Thursday I will watch for cycling a the CBC site.

There does not appear to be much of interest in these games. My local paper has yet to acknowledge that they exist and members of bike club were not aware of them despite my area beng sports mad.

track specific schedule: https://results.toronto2015.org/IRS/e...2015-07-16.htm

Tomorrow is TS qual and finals. Sprints are friday/saturday and also should be good, would love to see it come down to Matt and Hugo or something. Women's team pursuits are always exciting too, although the CND A team should have it easily.

I really hope it gets coverage, as much as I like turning on the tour, its quite dull compared to an international track event like this!

How is there only 11 guys in the omnium? Is this one of those stupid, "you can only send X riders" rules so they end up with no one in the events? Why isn't Bobby Lea there?

There is full live coverage on cbc.ca/panam if you are able to see it (maybe use a canadian proxy). I expect they will show all the velo events on there.

Was expecting T&T and US to go faster in the TS! Have to see how the sprints go tomorrow.

PanAm games are streaming live at https://panam.cbc.ca/ if you have the hola plugin Hola - Free VPN, Secure Browsing, Unrestricted Access and some free time at work. After the Hola plugin is install just choose Canada for the country and CBC for the channel. You can watch live or recorded. The track schedule is here: https://results.toronto2015.org/…/daily-schedule-date=2015-0

Hugo was relegated in the 1/8th for coming under the other rider. Won the rep, to face off against the 2nd fastest and it went to 3 rounds, extremely close, but hugo just sneaked off the win!

Matt made it through 1/8 but lost in 1/4. Sprint finals are tomorrow and I think it will come down to Njisane and Hugo.

Team pursuit women were pretty close until the end, Canada gold and US silver.

The streaming coverage has been great, sadly I haven't seen any track coverage on TV yet. Every time I turn it on its swimming events lol

Isn't that the clamp bolt just under the "3"?

I see what you mean. Good eye!

That seems to be "Hammer" on the sticker (hard to tell). It could be the next generation of the frame.

Here is the image from the website showing what is missing:

Women's Sprint - Liandra Guerra of Cuba bumped the back wheel of her competitor and crashed at speed. Ended up with several wood splinters sticking through her upper right arm.

Women's Omnium - Hammer and Glaesser (CAN) finish elimination in dead heat photo finish. Hammer leads omnium after three events.
