^ So often it's simply the lighting that makes a good photo into a great one! Nice

Here are a couple more submissions of light-assisted photo-art:

This is not my picture, nor even my bike. I just like the photo. It was taken by Felix Adamo, a well known photographer in the Bakersfield, CA area where I grew up. This is Charlie Morton, working at Vincent's Cyclery, probably in the '60s. Charlie was our cycling mentor for our club, the Bakersfield Wheelmen back in the '60s. Charlie raced for the USA Olympic Cycling Team in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He was quite a charactor, and his son Harry did some racing in Europe for a few years too. Charlie is gone now, but I always liked this photo, and wanted to share it.

The winter sunset light in this shoot really made things glow. The bike wasn't done yet but I wanted to catch the light.

Love it, world class cyclist/wrench/guru working on a Varsity while the Holdsworth Pro? waits patiently in the foreground with several BSO's.

Here's a few more.

Wheel restoration, before...

...and after.

Bearing re-pack after "unknown years".

$50 Legnano .. the patina was "free".

Old tech meets new.

Raleigh restoration.
