Just the Headline Pollution
The rules for just the headline specifically forbid “sniping”. I take that to mean commenting about the headline. Yet recently there has been a lot of commenting made. A look at recent posting will make this clear. Please stop this or change the rules. Thanks.

In the “Just the Headline” category you may see these postings by number
4180, 4185, 4188, 4189, 4192, 4196, 4198
All seem to violate the “no comment” rule which is maybe more accurate than “no sniping”. I thought that pretty much meant the same thing. I have been accused of “who’s this guy?” with some justification. I’ve never applied to get permission to post in that group but have enjoyed reading it quite a bit. Too make up for that here’s a headline:
Security forces kill more Nigerians than
Covid-19
from the BBC
regards, Joe

The OP is probably referring to a thread running in P&R.
https://www.bikeforums.net/politics-...-headline.html
I don't really understand his concern as he is not a active participant in the thread nor, as far as I can determine, in the P&R forum.
Here is what suggested content of the thread should contain The thread is now over 4,220 posts long so it's a pretty successful and long-lived thread. Yes, there are occasional comments, links, discussion and general lapses from Scott's OP but the thread bye and large stays committed to the original idea. I've seem worse thread drift in a 42 post thread.

Ah, I see. Thank you ahsposo.
Joe Bikerider, if you have an issue with any particular comment, simply use the "Report Post" button. It's the one with an exclamation point in it. Please also try to be more specific about the issue you're experiencing in the future. Keep in mind that Admins (or even mods) do not see the entire site and will not know about every active thread. We can usually get to the root of the problem pretty quickly, when we have all the information.

Some people seem to get really excited about thread "rules". For a P&R topic, that thread seems to stay on topic quite well, although it does seem to be heavily weighted towards Donald Trump and Coronavirus as of late.
I think the active participants in the thread are enjoying it, and no forum participants are getting specifically harmed in the thread.
I have also participated in the The Wacky World of Craigslist and eBay Ads thread, and about half of the replies are comments about the Craigslist posts, and that is what the participants in the thread seem to like.
Anyway, I don't see this as a "Forum Suggestion" issue.
