Anyone lose weight and lose a shoe size or two?

I've dropped 107 pounds this past year. And yet, I have not changed shoe size. I wore size 11 from high school till I turned 40, then my fee GREW! I've been in 13s for the past 5 years. I do wear a 48 cycling shoe, more for the width, but it isn't TOO big..

I follow a few weight loss forums, and many seem to lose a shoe size, or more. I haven't.. Just curious of other's experiences here.

Nope, although I think my feet have gotten a bit bigger over the years. Not two sizes, mind you, more like a half size.

The structure of your foot does not change with weight loss. Where some people might be losing a shoe size is that becoming fit can reduce swelling (edema) that would make your shoes tighter. If you are (or were) overweight but did not have excessive swelling, they it stands to reason you might not need smaller shoes.

Did you have high arches? In my case I think it's because the extremely high arches I've always had have flattened out some over the years, Was always a 13, but from about 40 y.o. on I've been size 14.

Never had high arches. But in the past year or so I developed a problem with excess fluid in my legs, never in my feet. Now, after losing 107 pounds, that is reduced a great deal.. That is more from the weight loss and daily diuretics...

I have been working on my feet on hard floors almost all my life. I have a wide foot. I'm 60, a former bike mechanic and some other stand-up-all-day jobs, and until recently standing a great deal as a nurse. Since the Campfire (November 8, 2019) I have been unemployed, quite sedentary, and for the most part sitting all day. My feet have gotten noticeably smaller, my foot width has made my shoes (two pairs that went with me on fire day) fit looser. I have went from weighing about 175 before the fire to 200 pounds just last month. All lard, no muscle gain whatsoever. Four years ago I was riding a lot and down to 150-155 lbs, my racing weight from my youth.
