A good ride at one of my favorites.

Up we go.

The goods.

But is pretty damn good, overall.

Lower roadway, slow climb back up for another lap of some of the favorite stuff.

Not a recent ride, but I finally finished putting this edit together of my son and I at Stevens Pass in August. A great day and an awesome birthday present from him to me.

I just got back from a few days of fun in the sun. Mostly Trail 100 in Phoenix but got on a couple others too. Cracked the seatpost on second day of riding, so JBWelded and hoseclamped it back together. Cute li'l trail bunny remarked on my OMMTB style thusly: "Rigid?!?! Badass!"

Having trails only about 4 miles from the homestead is about the only thing I miss about PHX. Gotta ride about 20 to the nearest decent trailhead up here.

First time out at white ranch today. about 40 degrees and a thursday means I was all alone out there. I attempted to ride Belcher Hill but my gearing was much too big so I walked a lot of it unfortunately. Then out longhorn, shorthorn, longhorn up to a trail closure from the floods and back. Not a very long ride but dang was it tiring. Also, first time riding on snow covered trails.

I really need to hit up trail 100 some time soon. I was freezing my boys off in MI at the time.

Today was crap,1deg and 15 mph wind gusts. Normally would have stayed inside but I just finished a new trail section and it was eating at me to try it. 30min into ride my mustache and beard had ice on them so to the house I went lol. And yes the new trail section was awesome.

My gearing is just right and I still walk lots of it...everytime!
Belcher sucks, but Longhorn down is oh so delicious!

A good option when going up is to hang a right onto Longhorn, then left to Shorthorn, then another left up Longhorn. Keeps ya outta the sun & off all the doubletrack that makes up Belcher.

Snow ride at 3 Sisters yesterday.....prime conditions for MTB-ing, as usual.

nice, that is what i ended up doing after turning around when belcher never ended. that was pretty fun. I want some more time out there with a little less snow now.

Yes! Never a fan of Belcher, but once up there, the rest of it was always worth the grunt.

First Wed. night group ride of the season last night at the LBS. Started out near 50° and dropped below freezing over the course of the 2½ hours. Good ride with only 3 hearty souls - - brisk pace and some hero dirt. Love my cheap Chinese light .

Four hours on Saturday at Beacon Hill: touring my friend Chris on the "other" Beacon - - the part that isn't the DH courses. Great day of climbing and descending getting ready for Enduro season.

This little fart here:

Amazon.com: CREE XML T6 Bicycle Headlight LED 3 Files 1200 Lumens: Sports & Outdoors

A now-slightly-dated Cree XML T6 emitter but it doesn't act like it knows that. I actually used it for plowing snow with my pickup this winter when my plow lights conked out.

yesterday was 15.5 miles and too much climbing out at walker ranch. I came home and threw up and now feel like death. But it was pretty.
