Current build “cheap unicorn” in tha works. Should have it mostly buttoned up tomorrow for test n tweaks. Not really digging the Concor aesthetically on this one... we’ll see how she rides. Have a turbo and flite on back burner if need be. Ignore seat post height, my legs aren’t twelve foot long
Also not sure if I’m going to care for the thickslick’s any more. I think I’ll run the ‘tater skins I’ve got handy...

The frame is from the first bicycle I ever bought to get to and from work / college. It had been sitting under my drafting table for almost a decade when about a month ago I decided to strip it down to raw steel and give it another chance at life. I almost turned it into a bar stool numerous times, thinking that the old piece of junk would never again see the asphalt. I’m glad I didn’t! Almost all the parts are restored junk I had laying around for years corroding, or parts I’ve hand made. It’s been a fun month of polishing, collecting, restoring, painting, and fabricating. Really bringing back how much fun I used to have building bikes. Can’t wait to ride this one tomorrow and start the next!

Fuji Special Road Racer I picked up as a frame after earning it through volunteer hours at the local co-op. Just got it on the road last week and I'm having trouble riding anything else. So fun. I used a freehub with spacers and a QR in the rear after consulting the Sheldon Brown bible. It has a 50-18 drivetrain, which seems fine, but I don't have much of a frame of reference, this being my first single speed since I was 14. Still looking to source a longer reach rear center pull brake that lines up better with the 700c wheel; the pads fit but just barely.

New addition to the family! Picked up this IRO on eBay, it arrived today and I just took it out for a short cruise around the neighborhood before work.

I suppose this could be a post in the jackass thread as well but.. tossed some riser bars and an alex DA22 on the rear. Shaved some weight from the previous rear wheel, and have a smoother roll. Unbranded hub, but sealed bearing.. I’m still researching how I’d like to build a rear wheel. The stark contrast of the silver is a little off putting. I may plasti dip the hoop, or even have it anodized. I think I’m going to bite the bullet and buy a legit turbo saddle as well. I have the repop synth on shelf, but it doesn’t have the feels that my other turbo had. The Ti flite doesn’t do it for me, comfort or aesthetic

IRO Rob Roy, now in SSCX mode. Switched out the risers for drops, wrapped them in Zipp Service Course CX tape, and swapped the 46t ring that came on it for a 39. I'm terrible at off-road stuff but this bike is fun as hell.

That holdsworth is really adorable I'm a fan! I'm dying to build up a step through frame just trying to find the perfect one.
