These vintage bikes are in great shape and even after a little TLC will be better than ever.

I'm tempted as it's probably the lowest price I'll ever see for a Herse, but I don't like that it's a repaint.

Very disappointing that a shop thinks this is the way to go on this, they know what they have and chose to crap out on it, lazy, greedy, irresponsible and sad IMO.

Still very cool and were it my size, I would be having a very heated discussion with them.

Nice presentation, this guy could teach a class in making a fairly nondescript bike (though nice) seem like something very very special. From a sales perspective, he really milks every possible angle, and then some. Photos are tiny though.

Fausto Coppi(??) on FaceBook

I dont know how to screen grab.....the ad reads "Fausto coppi 1961 race bicycle...Bought in England in the 1950s shipped to us Fausto coppi light weight race bike"
Wait a minute.....it was bought in the 1950s but built in the 1960s? And the head badge reads "Youngs Handbuilt Lightweights"
What?

Early MTBs were deceptively huge. That size is probably correct, depending on how they measured.

Did you see the $575 Colnago? Needs a new paint job but that's pretty reasonable for a complete bike. Could be a fun DIY winter resto project.

Thanks, but to call that frame a 20 inch flies in the face of everything I thought I knew about frame sizing?

Small Univega (50cm) with Cycle Art paint job, $75

No drive side photos, and I donít know the model, but $75 for a Cycle Art painted bike that looks to be in decent condition, I think it is worth the gamble. At 50cm itís far too small for me, and located
in Irvine, CA, so too far for me to facilitate. Itís also been on FB Marketplace for over a week, so they may be willing to deal

It looks like an Exage group. That repaint cost more than the Univega did

The frame looks like a '89 Krono time trial bike that came with a 105 group and cool Ambrosio disc rear wheel.

Thank Bianchigirl, thatís exactly what I was thinking! Why dump that kind of $$$ into repainting a low-end Univega? At least the price is on point

On the other hand, why screw up the paint job on a high end bike, when a middle of the road (pricewise) bike is so much less money?

May be a Specialissima, Superlight, Superstrada or Ultraleggera? All are very high-end bikes, Univega didn't just produce pedestrian garbage. Specialissima looks amazing in pearl white.
