WI pedals and straps for my Venge. Long story why I need to be riding clips these days. With a little bit of luck though, some purist roadie will puke on his cleanly shaven legs when he sees these on my Venge.

Short version. 32 years of martial arts, bone spurs, arthritis, patellar tendon groove issues, and can no longer hold up to the occasional torque caused by an unplanned or quick release from clipless pedal. Plus, I am not racing anyone and the little loss of energy is fine with me. This does not include the issues with torn hip cartilage that requires some squirming to stay comfortable.

Took full advantage of Chrome's huge 25% off of everything sale and picked up one of these. Just for fun and social rides so I can still carry my ish and not have the sweaty back of a bag. I am 100% anti fanny pack so we will see how this goes. Friend of mine has a similar pack which I could not find on their site. I was with him when he bought it at the Chicago hub and neither of us can remember the name.

I've got that one and it's pretty rad. I like it a whole lot more than my Tumbuk2.
Is this the one you were looking for?

That Victor is not the one. My friend bought one that size, but accepts a U lock like the Chekhov does. It is like it just disappeared off of their site. And the sale was up through Sunday night at midnight.

Cool stuff! The '13 is the reason I bought this bike. My first road bike was a Podium 3 Diamondback (sold), and just when I thought I was getting relatively quick, a buddy knocked me back down to earth in his '13 TK3. I couldn't believe that he could climb the way he did, and keep such a high pace all on a fixie (my thoughts at the time). Fast forward a year or so, and I finally got me a TK3 this June. Time to fix my road buddies up

They are an absolute blast to ride. That front brake track won't stay black unfortunately unless they changed the wheels up. Mine did for a while, but after getting caught in a few rain showers and cleaning the bike, the black came off the brake track. Here is my recently sold TK3.
I'm looking into buying some new bars myself. I just can't get the leverage that I'm used to for climbing steep hills. I also like the aero positioning that the drops provide for flat roads. Bullhorns and aerobars, maybe?

Try bullhorns first I guess. I tried the dorps that came on there and they were far too much for me for the street. Tried a few different bullhorns and settled on this Bontrager bar: Race Bullhorn - | Bontrager but it was on sale.

Not really stoked on the shape, but it was the best option that was:
36cm wide
short reach
lightweight-ish
140mm

They don't flare. It's funny because our cockpits are identical now. He's been using the 36cm Zero100 bar for a while now, but I've been using the Superleggero stem just in a 130mm length. I call it even lol

Edit: I rode his bike once, only about 1cm more reach than mine.

The cockpit on my Stoemper even with the new 140mm stem will still be 5mm shorter and 8mm taller than the Spooky's with its 120mm stem. I think to match the Spooky stack & reach I probably need a 140mm/-17º stem, but that would be aesthetically displeasing.
