I am 74 so what I speak of that follows I say with some authority.

If you are fit and healthy and continue working out on the bike aging at the stage you are at means little. The worst-case scenario is you will gradually here and there simply get slower on hard efforts. You will not recover as quickly. But...you will still continue to overall excel and benefit from your riding.

For me, there wasn't a huge drop off until I hit 70-71 and then in addition to the effects of aging it was also some permanent health issues that popped up.

I too have turned 60 recently. There comes a time in a man's life, and we all know when this happens. The old guy run, we may have moved like gazelles, but now it's more of laboured arthritic shuffle. However we can still get on our bikes move with speed and grace,that's what I love about cycling

Congratulations. Have you ever considered that the vast majority of people who are under 60 are trying to live to be 60?

And those like me who made it are now In better shape to head on to 70
