Thankfully, there's no real reason to actually step foot into a bank anymore.

Just call me Carrie
I recently shipped a frame and a complete bike in the same box. It was kind of a pain. There was a lot of packing and a giant box involved. Thankfully, my LBS provided me with a fat bike box. It was giant (not really, I think it was Specialized, if we’re splitting hairs), it was sturdy, and it got both bike and partial bike to the recipient in a condition that he didn’t complain about.
Bonus—he now has a box that he could use to ship an alligator to someone. If there were alligators free roaming in the Midwest that he wanted to ship somewhere.
The pink frame is a 54-56cm with a stuck seatpost.

The LBS shop that packed my 57cm '86 Miyata 710 for $75 packing fee did a piss-poor job, and it arrive with a bunch of new scratches from AZ to OH.
Conversely, the 25" '82 Miyata 1000that I shipped from OH to Washington state arrived in the same condition that I sent it -- packed by me!
I would have removed the fork, but lacked the proper tool for the headset...
Total packing cost for the 25" frame Miyata was under $20 for pool noodles, zip ties and recycled (and cut-down) E-bike double-wall box.
