I was the garbage man in his 'hood before I retired. If I was still working I'd swing the guy a deal. Emailed him on the Frejus, but not holding my breath, unless I go pick it up.

I'm about a 45 min drive from this seller but I wouldn't know what to do with all this stuff. Is it worth it for me to try to get it? I've never restored a bike, etc.

I think so. There are probably multiple levels of parts that could set you up with projects for months...and probably make two or three bikes in the right combinations.

Interesting little shimano tensioner, does anyone know if it pivots? If not I can't imagine how it would help with chain tension...

there appears to be the end of a spring in the small hole next to that nut.

Piff,
The tensioner was used for bikes equipped with two different gears on a flip flop hub. Way back in the ABA and NBA days they were fairly easy to find, as the tracks were sometimes changed overnight and more hump height was added to the track on a few areas necessitating a bit smaller gearing to compete on day two. If you didn't have a mechanic dad and a bunch of extra rings with you this was an easy work around. During the NBA semi nationals I think I changed at least four bikes in the pits before heat races, every heat. Smiles, MH

I love this forum

Thanks for the explanation, now I want to put together a bike just to use this funny little component.

^^^^^ All that detail info about what's new, what's original, all the work done, etc, and not a peep about the fact that there's NO front derailleur.....

Here is another one with better pics. https://www.ebay.com/itm/283449611726
Looks like the trick for running an IGH hub with two chain rings in front.

It's been sitting there for a while with no drop in price. Same for this one. Price might have dropped on the Colnago.
