I don’t really like my wide saddle
Or bike seat, whatever you call it. I’m definitely a bigger and more muscular guy for my height. One time a guy at the shop said I would love the bigger saddles and it would be so much more comfortable.
The first time I rode it I liked it. But I’ve never liked it very much since then. It’s nice to sit in, but not to ride for a long time. The guy said it takes time to break it in. Well, I’ve never really gotten used to it! I think it’s been more than a year.
Should I go back? Or is there a medium one? The problem is the one I had before was 150 bucks. So he said to just keep riding the big one.

Get a thinner saddle so you know if its better for you. Dont continue to handicap your riding enjoyment.

Being muscular or heavy does not, AFAIK make your bone structure larger, and saddles are supposed to fit your arse bones, so a big muscular person will not necessarily need a wider saddle - their arse bones are going to be the same geometry as an average sized person, in general. Also generally speaking, wider and softer saddles are generally not suited for longer rides, especially if you have a 'sporty' or 'aggressive' bent-over posture on your bike - a wider saddle works fine on an upright bike like a cruiser or Dutch bike, but narrower saddles are generally preferred for hybrid, road, mountain and touring bikes.

DreamRider85 do you know the name of the saddle/seat? Is it leather? Padded plastic? Un-padded plastic? Also, where's your pain? When I was on a wide saddle, the thigh chafing was awful.
On a separate note, I always found it funny; seat stays, seat tube, seat post, seat clamp, saddle.
