[...] All serious eaters have curved noodles. Flat noodles are fine for noodling around the neighborhood, but any more than 20 noodles at a time, and the pain in your mouth will be killing you. Besides, curved noodles allow you to eat faster due to being more aero.
[...] Meh, curved noodles are just an illusion for most anyway, virtually 95% of the time they're eaten just like flat noodles.
[...] Eating curved noodles like flat noodles is extremely dangerous - you can lose control under hard swallowing and choke to death.

Today's noodle eaters are so spoiled. Eddy Merckx ate ramen raw out of the pack while smoking.

i choke this stuff down every once in a while if i've forgotten to shop:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
with whatever is in the pantry or refrigerator added. all of them are vegan & make me less hungry.
some ramen flavor packages have meat extracts so read the ingredients if it matters to you.
ps: "miso" is sometimes seaweed!

[me, as portrayed by old guy, me]: Why in the world would I ever eat a "cup o' noodles" in the first place? Yuck. My wife is a superb cook and we're very selective about the source of any carbs that we eat. Unthinkable...

In 2016 I, while touring in Montana, I saw a guy with an entire case of individual ramen noodle packs strapped to his rear rack. The thing was probably 2’ high. WTH? It’s not like he wasn’t going to be passing through towns without legitimate grocery stores any time soon.

We don't have the posts yet from the guys who are professional chefs, telling us how soup is made in restaurants, cafeterias etc.
One rule about forums: How can you tell which members are actually employed in whatever craft the forum is about (whether it be bicycling, cooking, sports, music, space travel, etc)? Answer: It's easy. They mention it in every post.

I’m able to make a cup-o-noddles in 1 minute and 43 seconds. Is this fast enough to join a cup-o-noddles group?
My goal is to be in the Tour de Noodles next year. I’m fourteen years old if that matters.

Is it heresy to crush the noodles up in the bag, pour them in a bowl, add mr. coffee heated water and eat with a spoon?

I'm thinking we've all been involved in some sort of Japanese experiment. Probably explains why there is a Scrodzilla .

Is it permissible to add a little oil to your noodles? Just to help with the flavor and texture, not to make it easier to swallow. Maybe some Olive oil, a fish oil, canola, or something else? How much should I add, and should I wipe any excess off before eating? And should the noodles be cleaned/washed before oiling?
I gotta know!

My family(me included) loves all types of ramen including cup of noodles. But CON basically has no nutritional benefits for you. If that is your only meal option, you're better off just skipping the meal.

[MUSA Guy 1] I need some new cup noodles, preferably MUSA noodles. We're being beaten up on trade here people.
[Noodle Guy 45] Uh, yeah, good luck on that, ALL cup noodles are made in China.
[GeographicallyPedantic56] Only cheap cup noodles are made in naughty China. Most mid-range and higher cup noodles are made in nice China.
[MUSA Guy 1] So you're telling me I can only buy cup noodles from China? I can't do that, I need MUSA noodles.
[SortaHelpful] Why not just go custom cup noodle? Have a local cup noodle builder make you a cup of noodles. I bought some cup noodles for $50, which seems expensive, but it was worth it.
[Someguy] Or why not just go for a cup of instant mashed potatoes made in the US from Idaho potatoes? They cost the same amount as a cup of noodles and are ideologically pure.
[MUSA Guy 1] They both sound really good, but this thread isn't actually about cup noodles. I'm just a bit angry that the world has changed over the last few decades and I needed a pulpit to browbeat people with my politics, without seeming to have an overtly political agenda.
