Motobecane Grand Touring Vitus 888 100%

The rear cluster still has original gold paint.
Need to let her go to make room for incoming Garlatti. Beautiful bike with less than 30km since new. With todays market should I keep hold of her?

I would say only $150 or so in the current market so I would lean towards keeping it. Nice bike but nothing really special and in the current market a bike with DT shifter's and turkey lever brakes is going to be a hard sell.

I would keep the Moto over the Garlatti. Unless the Garlatti was one of the top line offered. Even then some of those bike I believe were made by prison labor. The one I had had the space helmet pointing the cable toward the freewheel and rubbed the chain in the high gear.

When is a valuation thread not really a valuation thread? This one by the OP went to 6 pages . . . .

I agree the Moto is better bike. I would say keep both they seem to be worth more to the current owner than either would sell for and it really only takes 5 feet of floor space to keep a bike.

It"s not so much about physical space, I have room for both , it's more about keeping the stable at 7 bikes. More than that I start feeling like a " hoarder" letting some collect dust hanging on the wall. But the market is really down. For $150 I would rather give it to away to a friend to spread the gospel ...
