Twin Cities People:

I'm finally running into BF people who live in the Twin Cities, and I've decided to organize a BF ride in the spring, probably in May. So, between now and then, shoot me a PM so I can put you on a list, and I'll let you know the details. If you know anyone on BF who doesn't read the regional discussions area, tell me who they are, or tell them who I am!

Susan

I live across the river behind the cheese curtain, but work in St Louis Park. I could be in.

I'll be up there Memorial Day weekend for my nephews' graduation. I'm sure a could sneak away for a few hours for a ride (I may bring my brother-in-law too).

I am open for a ride in May. I might be able to talk my son into riding also.

Is anyone usually busy or out of town on Memorial Day? Would that be a good weekend to shoot for?

What day does it fall on?

I ride the Leinies Century on the Sunday of Memorial weekend. 100 miles, brats and Leinies at the end (if you are into that). A nice recovery ride Memorial day would be nice.

I'm game. Memorial is perpetually bad. Might check the MCF calendar as well.

OK, that calendar seems to have every day filled up in it!

I only have my desktop calendar, and can't tell which day memorial is.

CastIron, since you didn't get to go on the Mille Lacs ride, want to pick an alternative day, in the morning?

iab, if you want to get together for a ride on memorial day, I'll bet there will be a few of us in town! I know I'll be here...

May 26 is Memorial Day. May 10-11 is fishing opener (see below). I'm racing May 3 & 18th. Oh, and I have a patio to lay in my back yard, three electrical circuits to install, a few pieces of garden furniture to make, and my wife wants to go camping one other weekend. Planning around me in spring is a bad idea. In fact the Spring Classic is one of four things on the calendar that day. I go to work for the rest that time of year. So, the 4th? I hate suggest something and get lynched because of...

Are you suggesting June 4th or May 4th? I probably will still be in KS until May 15th or so...

Remember when we were kids, and we could just call each other up and say, "we're all meeting at the park", and everyone could be there???

If CastIron is going to be impossible to tie down, should we go back to the memorial day plan?

Let's here what the majority says.... CastIron, we may have to pick you up in the fall, or come help you lay brick so you can spare a couple hours with us.

I was suggesting May 4th out of desperation. Stick with Memorial weekend. It isn't entirely out of the question. For me there's an 8-10 week period in spring when everything starts moving really fast again and everybody wants a piece. It is what it is.

Yeah I miss waking up to a blank slate in summer. I really try to impress that upon my niece and nephew. Between their cell phone calls, IM's, and Blackberry scheduled conferences.

I'm still in KS, and will be for the rest of the month, so unless someone else wants to take the organization reins, it won't be until later this summer. I've got a Tour De Cure in Indiana a few weeks after I get back, so the earliest it will be is the end of June. Sounds like maybe the snow will be gone by then...

Wow! I haven't posted for a while, I guess. Look at all the new smilies!

I'm turning into more and more of a recumbent type of zealot. I'm riding a trike now. I still lurk a bit on BF, but a bit more on bentrideronline.com.
