Judging by the look of those tires, I'd say that's a good way to prevent your bike from being ridden, too.

actually only one lock is attached to the rack. a thief only would need to bust one lock and then carry it away. the extra locks also give him a nice cover story, he can say that the locks were a prank and he didnt have time to find the guy with the keys.

I would hazard a guess that the owner of the bike has remarkably clean hands and does not step on cracks...

Is it just me, or are none of those locks actually locked onto the bike? they look like they're just piled on.

I've heard and seen people disconnect brake cables or take the chain off.
no chain: can only walk it, slow get away.
no brakes: have fun stopping.

It's not just you, in fact some of the bike locks are actually floating in midair!!!!!11 There appears to be no good explanation for this. I guess it's just a really good photographer.

I think the zip-tie on the one lock actually connecting to the bike lock is really whats keeping it from getting it stolen.
