Mtb Ss?

I don't really see very many "burly" MTB SS bikes around here. I wanted to share mine.

Much like a hooker, it's good for turning tricks and an all around good time. Not very fast though.

Looks like it would be pretty damn fast on the way down though I have an old Santa Cruz Chameleon that I treasure and love, that I think is a pretty good blend of burly and XC. Wish I could post pics, but alas it's at my dad's house in Santa Cruz.

I wish I could find a P series around here to test ride. I want to get an urban fun bike at some point after riding my buddies Chase and loving it.

I'm really thinking about building/buying one. The idea has to be AOK'ed by the lady first though.

The black one is an azonic steel head that I picked up off ebay (i think it was 120$ with seatpost)
And the bronze colored one is a 1995 raleigh m-60 (my first nondepartment store bike) I recently replaced the dropouts with trackends w/derailleur hanger

Looks like you're pushing a pretty big gear on the m-60.

Cool - I really like that Azonic frame. It's like the P1 but likely more supple due to the material.

I've got a second-hand Spicer that is built up as a nearly-freeride style bike. 32-20 makes New England trails manageable. 120mm in front keeps my arms happy. Mary bars keep the wrists happy.

SS mountain bikes are the only way. I have been known to own one or two:

Custom Wolfhound 29er - Phil Wood Hubs / Velocity VXC Rims, WB Magic 100mm fork.

2004 Cannondale 1FG

I was just digging around and happened to notice that IRO doesn't make their SS mountain bikes anymore. When the hell did that happen?
