Anyone live close to Ft. Atkinson / Jefferson WI? Looky there in the middle, nestled in among those cruisers (which are cool enough in their own right), there's a TX-era Trek:

https://madison.craigslist.org/gms/d...992015799.html

Estate Sale (Fort Atkinson)

If I knew how much they were asking, it might be worth a drive down. Alas, no contact info link in the ad. That said, "Estate Sale" very commonly means "overpriced".

They were all the rage in the pro peloton, for about six months. Then the UCI banned them in 1997.

for sale a good riding and working univega alpina uno bike from the 80's. it is size 56cm with a 33'' standover. there is lots of scratches and paint loss.

Perfect candidate for a drop-bar touring conversion.

Thanks for the pic; I saw this item posted a while back, and could not for the life of me figure out how/where they should be mounted.

Some of the steel Allez models go for a premium, they seem to have a bit of a following in CA. Definitely race-worthy machines, in their day. I'd like to get one eventually. I think among the Japanese steel frames of the era, they're very well respected. I know I've been beaten by riders on them more than once. The one below in Manteca is priced at $420, which is high, but not unheard of.

If it were closer I'd probably pick it up, rust and all.

Set your price window starting at $5 or $15 or whatever arbitrary number so you don't have to sift through that stuff. Takes like 5 seconds, so worth it.
You see some really cool old stuff set at lowest first though, I'm looking at CARS. At N+7 I'm only interested in parts and service for my bikes.

Are you referring to the chrome dropout with painted stays?
There is a similar SC on CL that also has a Cyclone and is listed as a 1974 model. Not sure how common these were.
1974 SC CL listing

Original listing - with more photos
The fork is full chrome on this one; looks like a replacement.

Not a high end bike but a good price for a back up/friend/commuter bike
Nishiki Olympic for $60 in Cranford NJ
** spelt "niski" in ad
Seller listed it at $200 originally but didn't sell. He's relisted it but left the original ad up linked to him!!

A.D. Stump

not many of these made, period.
huge, looks like the seller tried to make it work over the decades, prob 1974-75 - Blackwall clinchers don't help the look.

Anyone 6'- 5" or taller? A once in a lifetime purchase

Hard to tell with only 3 pictures, may be too good to be true but a potentially nice Paramount for 5 bills in SF. Possibly worth a look for someone in the area.

I believe this is the same bike that was for sale at Eroica two years ago. "Jesus" on the head tube and lots of Christian crosses on the lugs and crown.
