Just took off today. 62 miles and a great shower at the campground.

Ah, Lake Dawson.
You're in my neighborhood.
Temps should get better as you get closer to the weekend.
Safe travels.

If anyone passes through central Indiana, hit me up. I’ll make sure you’ll have hot showers and a bed at the fire station.

Congratulations on the ride. You should post your route. I'd like to see how you did it.

Touring on a bike. If I didn't have any responsibilities, I'd spend most of any year doing it.

Chapéu!

Thanks for the pics - you're making me miss riding in central Illinos.

I liked in Urbana for a decade. Could ride 100 miles in any direction with no traffic.

Wind can be brutal. Had a 25 mph headwind returning from Homer Lake that made me lose my mind. Iwas so worn out, I had to lay down in a field for 30 minutes.

I got to kickapoo st park early but the rain and cold made me stay. Gonna have to turn back tomorrow. The temp is supposed to be 30 tonight. My 20 degree bag may keep me from dying... bundled up and ready to crash at 2 in the afternoon. What an old man!

That must have been some time ago. Poor relationship choices landed me in Tuscola for about a year back in 2013. Nearest place with viable shopping was up in Champaign-Urbana. It really was built-up by that time. Riding bicycles there was good on the back roads (aside from the road where the pit bulls ran free), but State Routes and US Highways were not a picnic.
