My former commute was 35 miles one way, which I biked exactly once in honor of Bike to Work Week. Since then, I've started a new job that's 1.5 miles one way, which I've driven the car exactly once.

I commute is a whopping 1 mile each direction to get to school. I can make it 1.5 if I take the long way which I often do (fewer cars going the long way.)
When I go to the supermarket it's 3.75mi.
Best friend's house (which I ride to a couple times a week) is 9.3mi.

7 miles each way. It's pretty flat with no major hills. The only issue is the headwind going home. If I go out for a big lunch with coworkers and then have to deal with a strong headwind going home, it's a really slow ride. The mornings are usually time trial format where I ride as fast as I can and leave nothing behind because I get in before the majority of my coworkers, so I don't feel silly being out of breath and all sweaty.

6.5 miles each way, downhill to work, uphill back.
I run to work and back on Wedesdays.
I'm going to up the running to Tuesdays and Thursdays next week - I'm training for a marathon. Long runs on Sundays. Bike rides or hiking or snowshoeing on Saturdays.

My commute is much too far and I've finally gotten up to doing it 3x a week consistently. As long as it isn't too bad out I can do the round trip in just under 3 hours. I'd much rather have a commute I could do in less then 2 or even better 1 hour and be able to do it every day and ride extra when I felt like it as I did before my work changed buildings.

In the right lane
In winter, 11 miles roundtrip. When the weather gets better, it will be 14 miles. [Strange effect of good weather on distance...]
I am not sure how long it takes for the trip. I refuse to look at my watch while riding. It's not like I'm billing for the time.

My commute to work is about 4.5 to 5 miles it takes me quite a while, the ~750 foot hill slows me down a bit. The trip home is 5 miles unless I take the scenic route threw local mountain bike trails, then I might not be home for hours.....

My Commute to work is 25 miles round trip with some hills both ways. When i have to drive my car to the office (sometimes i need to transport big boxes) it helps me realize how much i hate it.

I do a 50km round trip 4 times a week, rain or shine. (have to take the children to daycare/school on
Tuesdays), mostly flat with rolling hills, the way to work is ever so slightly uphill (30 meter elevation at most)
PB is 36.4 kmph on the way back, and 34.2 kmph on the way in. Usually I average around 31-32 kmph during summer on my roadbike, 26-30 kmph on my winter/bad weather hybrid

While in Atlanta and in college, I made the 30 minute trip from my neighborhood(L5P) to school and back. This beat the train by a quarter hour at least and was a lot more fun.
Back in Florida I was making the commute to work in 10 to 15 minutes. Now I have moved to suburbia and bicycle commuting is impossible due to the roads and distance.
