Let's see your favorite head-tube badges

So, let's see them!

I have a very limited "collection" of bikes and only one has a head-tube badge, and it isn't built up yet. Here it is.

What have you got?

I always liked that badge. No other bike depicts a fur-clad dude about to hulk-smash something!

Not quite as C&V (this is from a '97)

I've always liked this one. It's a little "busy", but captures the thirties deco spirit nicely.

My Holdsworth came to me without its original headbadge, which was presumably the one with a prancing horse. I'm not really fond of that design, and the badge was missing anyway, so I made a decal based on their earier style headbadge (1930's-40's).

It's duplicated on the seat tube, of course:

Hobbs, Hetchins, Holdsworth, Rotrax, Carpenter, Higgins

Here are some in my collection from the 1950's:

My favorites are the Blue Riband and the Carpenter (which is nicely Art Deco). They used to take a lot of care in designing and making these early badges.

There is also an unfinished Hetchins head badge (obtained from the Hetchins' household), which I'll enamel at some point. On the left is an alloy Hetchins badge which is quite rough and may have been a prototype.
