Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't know how much it will help you, but I bought a 53cm Cube Cross Race SL after using a bike geometry calculator to compare it with my medium size Giant Propel. The Cross Race SL is a CX bike but the stack and reach are similar to the Attain. The rest of the geometry is a bit off though. I am 175cm height with a 81cm leg and fell right in between the sizing chart, so I opted for the smaller fit since the bike would perform more as a gravel setup. Cube isn't available in the US so everything was done sight unseen, based off of limited internet search results, and with help from Cycle Gear UK in Halifax where I ordered from. Couldn't be happier with the results, the fit, and especially the bike though.

I'm 5"6 (167.6cm) and am not sure what size to order, the 50 seems too small and the 53 seems big, can't get anywhere to test one so will be buying blind like you did!

The TT on the 53 is 2mm longer than my current bike but the reach is 2mm shorter where as the TT on the 50 is 13mm shorter and the reach 9mm shorter! The Cube website sizes me on the 53.

Just wondering if anyone else owns one and what size they are riding?

Did you get your Cube? Curious to hear some impressions once you get a chance.

yeah, I'm always curious to know if people size-up, size-down, or move to a different brand.

Ended up getting the 53, have put it together but have not ridden it yet as had injured my leg! Very similar in size to my old Btwin Triban 520 which is a size S (52). Will be taking it out for the first ride this Saturday, but 1st impressions are very good, amazing spec and very light compared to old bike!

First ride of the Cube today and all I can say is WOW, compared to my old bike the difference is like night and day! Ultegra feels so much nicer than my old Sora triple! So much lighter than my old bike which I didn't think I would notice as much as I did!

Will be upgrading the brakes to Ultegra ones in the near future and maybe switch the tyres to some tan wall Gravel Kings.

Only downside to todays ride was the chain slipped off going downhill at 40mph, and put a scratch on the frame, hoping it only cosmetic!

Glad you enjoyed the bike! Looks like a little climbing involved in your ride as well. I'm really impressed with mine as the mileage adds up. Enough to think about buying another complete or building one from a frameset. The scratch looks cosmetic but I'd definitely check your limit screw adjustments.
