Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tacx spider team workstand - feedback?

Thinking of switching from a Park Tools clamp stand to a stand which holds the bike by the fork and BB. Just so that I don't need to keep swapping out the carbon seatpost for an alloy one on a regular basis. Issue is that we have one thru axle, and all our other bikes are QR. Would it be a paind to keep switching the adapters? Or, could I keep one mounting block for QR and the other for thru?

This one in particular. Any feedback?

I have a clamp stand and a race stand like this one by a different mfg. I really prefer the race type stand for most jobs. I use the clamp version for quick work and washing the bikes but the race stand for 90% of the work. Its just easier imo and a better working situation. Both are indispensable to me but the race stand is my go to.

95% of the time I just hang the bike on the stand by the saddle nose. I see shop wrenches doing this too.

What is the point of removing the wheel & mounting the bike in a stand to check tires for cuts or lube the chain?
